Minutes of SCRUM executive meeting held at 8pm Monday 11th June 2007 - Irish Club, Subiaco

SCRUM Fees


The following teams have paid their $50 annual fee
1. Ye Olde Dogs
2. Gulls
3. Puffin Billies
4. Rocking Chairs
5. Raw Prawns
6. Irish Expats

Can all other clubs please bring a cheque or cash along to the next carnival.

INSURANCE


According to the ARGO website only the following clubs have paid their annual Insurance policy.
1. Dunsborough Cowpats RUFC
2. Horrible Devils
3. Irish Expats
4. Mandurah Raw Prawns
5. Marauders Rugby Club
6. MUGS Rugby Club
7. Puffin Billies Midland Golden Oldies Rugby Club Inc.
8. Rampant Rebels
9. Shamboks Rugby Club Inc.
10. Silverados
11. Ye Olde Dogs of Wanneroo

If your club is not mentioned above, please provide evidence that you have player (WARU) or other insurance to cover injury to your players and the teams you are playing.

The following was agreed and minuted at the last SCRUM AGM in February.

"It was agreed that all clubs MUST have ARGO insurance or WARU insurance otherwise they will not be able to field a team in any of the tournaments."


FIXTURES


A letter of complaint dated 9th May has been received from the Puffin Billies regarding the changing of the fixtures from those agreed at the AGM. This will be answered in a letter for the Puffin Billies. Secretary to action.

SCRUM CARNIVAL - FINANCIAL
  • Financially the SCRUM carnival was a great success, a profit of $850 was made.
  • Many thanks to the Horribles and Uni bar staff.
  • Expat Girls and support crew for the food and selling the raffle tickets
  • The Rebels for providing the sound system
  • ALL clubs for supplying the biggest number of raffle prizes we've ever seen at a tournament.
  • Hugh, Honkey and the new ref from Midland.
  • Steve Knott, for being the catalyst for the Over 55s Game.

DISCIPLINARY MATTERS
  • A serious matter of misconduct occured in the game between the Rocking Chairs and the Old Gulls on Sunday. The incident was witnessed by many players and spectators.
  • Before taking the matter further, we request an official report on the incident be submitted by the teams involved by e-mail ASAP. The report should include each teams suggestions on how to ensure that these sorts of incidents do not occur again in the future.
